Riverside Escape Two

Anonymous from Somerset, VA, US
Stayed 6 days ending July 2024

Our family stayed here and we had a wonderful time. We had 2 young grandchildren with us, and they loved being able to wade & swim & tube in the New River. Although there were two houses close by, neither was occupied when we visited, so the quiet was much appreciated! It's a bit of a curvy road to get to the Virginia Creeper Trail, but totally worth it. Take everything you need--stores are not close!

Perfect Getaway

Karen D. from Olin, North Carolina
Stayed 3 days ending August 2023

We had a group of 8 adults. The house was accommodated everyone perfectly. The downstairs master suite was large and an amazing space. The river was absolutely perfect. Amazing spot to just sit you chairs in the river for the day. Twin Rivers Campground near by allows you to park where you can put in your own tubes and get out right at the house for a 3-4 house float up the the river. The nearby community with all road name starting with Happy was the most amazing riding on our UTV. We absolutely loved everything and look forward to renting Riverside Escape Too and Riverside Escaped next year to bring more friends.

Wonderful Getaway

Dania W. from Miami, FL
Stayed 6 days ending January 2024

The home was roomy perfect for 8 people. The views were wonderful. The drive into the property at first a little scary, definitely a plus to go with a truck. Cute little town (Cheese Store and CBD Store awesome). Great little Deli like store awesome homemade Ice Cream. The only downside is the fact that you need to drive about 25 minutes to throw away thrash.

Thank you for leaving a review of your recent stay at Riverside Escape Too. The home is on a gravel road that runs beside the New River. Downtown West Jefferson has numerous shops to choose from. Trash drop off is a drive but that is why we leave detailed directions in the cabin. We do hope you will stay with us again.

Family fishing trip

LOU G. from Aiken, SC, US
Stayed 5 days ending May 2024

River was up and muddy, fishing was not productive. House was clean except for the the back porch- pollen season. Backboard broken, grill broken and not clean. Nothing is provided for the kitchen beyond the equipment except for a few trash bags and 2 rolls of paper towels. Lost water pressure for 14 hours, but was addressed with plumber.

Manager Responded on 5/23/2024

Thank you for your review of your stay at Riverside Escape Too. We did have heavy rains during your stay that did affect the river and fishing. The pollen is high during this time of year and nearly impossible to keep off of outside items. Our paperwork does explain that you are responsible for paper products, condiments and anything extra you may need for the kitchen. The power did go off on Saturday night and once we were notified that you did not have water someone was sent out as soon as possible on Sunday morning. We do apologize for this inconvenience. We do hope you enjoyed part of your trip and will consider staying with us again.
