Our day was a group of women gathering for the weekend to enjoy hiking in the surrounding area. This house had plenty of space for us and offered the most amazing views and fire pit area. We enjoyed the space in the hot tub after our day on the trail.

Perfect in every way

Our stay at Grande Vue was exactly what we needed in a weekend getaway. The home was wonderful, and the view was better than we could have imagined. The home was well maintained and very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back and highly recommended for family or group of friends who want to have a mountain vacation to remember. We absolutely loved the little town of Lansing with the charming shops there. Pick up a pizza at Pie on the Mountain and head over to Molly Chomper Cidery to relax with cider while enjoying your pizza by the fire on their wonderful patio. You will not regret! For your morning coffee do not miss Old Orchard Creek General Store. The coffee is excellent, and they offer "Stick Boy Bread Company" pastries fresh daily. We would also highly recommend a trip to Old Barn Winery. They usually have live music and great wine in a relaxed setting. Of course, shopping and the Saturday morning Farmers Market in West Jefferson is also a treat. This place is a gem, and you will not go wrong if you choose Grande Vue for your next weekend getaway or extended vacation spot. It is conveniently located with all of the comforts of home, but far enough away to feel like you are off the grid. A vacation that was absolutely perfect in every way!

Our family had a wonderful time at Grand Vue. The home is nestled on top of the mountain and secluded for your own private retreat. The home was clean, had a great layout and amazing views. The separate seating area downstairs was a great bonus. Each room has its own temperature control and the rooms are spacious. We highly recommend Grand Vue!

My husband and I originally booked a unique Sphere cabin for our anniversary, but after severe wind storms caused structural damage, Carolina Mountain Vacation Rental went above and beyond to help us find a new place immediately. They were incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring we still had a fantastic getaway.
We ended up staying at Grande Vue, and it was absolutely perfect! The property was beautiful, well-maintained, and had stunning views. It truly exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience.
Thanks to their exceptional service, we’ll definitely be coming back—this time with our whole family! Highly recommend both the rental and the team behind it.

Great House

While this was not our first choice, it was an excellent alternative to where we were originally supposed to stay. The home is beautiful, the view is even better, and we had enough amenities and land to make up for not having the games (pool table, air hockey, ping pong, etc) for which we hoped. What the house did have was a charming design, a great heating system, a gas fireplace (that we used), and a firepit (we also used). That hot tub view in the picture is legit. There is plenty of lands on which to hike and explore. There is plenty of parking for a large group. The Kitchen is a dream. Wifi worked wonderfully, and the staff at Carolina Mountain Properties & Rentals were professional, courteous, and quite accommodating. I think we'll be back.

Grand Vue review

The grand vue was exactly want the pictures showed! The view was amazing! The property was amazing! But there were a few issues.
1. The kitchen floor laminate was peeling up and was a trip hazard. I had to keep the kids it if there kitchen because if it.
2. The hot tub was not clean. We cleaned the filters so it was useable.
3. The house may have a rat/mouse problem. There was mouse droppings behind and in the couch pull out bed. Most of the issue was down stairs.

BEAUTIFUL CABIN

My family enjoyed this cabin for our Christmas Vacation. The view was as pictured and the cabin was spacious and equipped with just about everything we needed. The only thing that was missing was a large pot or two to cook Christmas Dinner and bath cloths (towels only was provided). No worries as a trip to Walmart 10 mins away solved our problem. The kids enjoyed the toys downstairs which was a great bonus. We discovered trash left by previous guest but after a call management sent someone right away to pick up. Although the trash can was then locked, we just stored trash in the laundry area until we were able to dump the morning we left. We would rent this cabin again.
