Description
As soon as you see this newly built cabin with two bedrooms and a bath, centrally located between Boone, West Jefferson, and Wilkesboro with gorgeous mountain views, your breath will be taken away. From the views through the large windows, covered front porch with rockers, and mountain themed décor throughout, everyone will appreciate the thoughtful touches throughout Walker’s Way.
Snuggle up on the plump leather couch or relax in the recliner for movie nights or catch the big game on the flatscreen Smart TV. Cook burgers or steaks or the charcoal grill or build a fire in the fire pit for s’mores after a day adventures.
Prepare meals and snacks in the fully equipped kitchen – including stainless appliances, refrigerator with built in ice maker and Keurig coffeemaker. The dining table features seating for 4 and offers a great view from the large windows.
A cozy king bed is offered in the primary bedroom along with a flatscreen Smart TV, side tables with USB charging ports and reading lamps.
The shared hall bath offers a shower/tub combination and plenty of plush towels.
In the second bedroom, you’ll find a queen bed and flat screen Smart TV - perfect for curling up in bed and watching a movie. If you need additional sleeping space the sofa pulls out to a full bed.
You’ll love exploring the property, taking a stroll down to the creek, or hiking thru the woods to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Walker’s Way is within walking distance of Sassy Shack if you need additional space.
Pets up to 40 lbs are welcome.

Loved this cozy house. Not a far drive to Boone/Appalachian State. Enjoyed visiting downtown West Jefferson too.

Idlewild Road Cabin

The cabin is very nice, appears to be brand new. The kitchen is tiny, so no major cooking. The neighbor’s dogs were constantly on the property. It was hard to take our dog outside because of them.

Unfortunately, Ashe County does not have a leash law in the county. We do apologize for the inconvenience. We do hope you will stay with us again.
Awesome Cabin

The cabin itself was very nice, warm and toasty. Directions was easy to follow. If driveway is icy, you may need 4 wheel drive vehicle. If you are looking to just get away, this is perfect. Wasn't too much to do in Boone. Need sink stopper to wash dishes.

Thank you for leaving a review of your recent stay at Walker's Way. The driveway is gravel and during the winter months you may need 4 wheel drive to access any property in the mountains. Boone offers numerous dining options, shopping, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mystery Hill and more!

The cabin was a perfect base for our trip. We ended up with 5 people but my son found the couch quite comfortable. The space was set up well and we enjoyed the porch a lot.
