West Jefferson, NC – Tucked away on a hillside just a short walk from the New River and mere minutes from the towns of West Jefferson, Jefferson, Boone & Wilkesboro, you will find this gem of a cabin called “Peaceful Paradise.”
A welcoming rocking chair front porch greets you and begs you to let all the stress of the hustle and bustle of city life disappear.
This charming cabin is the ideal spot to celebrate a special day or event with a loved one or small family. Offering hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and large exposed wooden beams this is a true cabin just waiting for you. Curl up by the gas fireplace on a cool Carolina Mountain evening in the cozy furniture and just relax. There’s a flat screen TV with streaming channels for watching a movie or just catching up on a favorite show.
The fully stocked kitchen offers everything you need to whip up a meal and a tile top table with seating for four. There’s even a dishwasher for quick cleanup.
Featuring two bedrooms, one with a comfy king bed for a restful night’s sleep and the other with three twin (bunk) beds. The shared bath features a tub shower combo and can be accessed from the hall or master bedroom. In addition, the master bedroom also offers access to the deck from enjoying the morning sounds of nature.
The private deck features outdoor dining for four including umbrella and there’s even a small Zen garden with fountain for those that wish to mediate or just take in the peacefulness of nature. For those that like to grill, Peaceful Paradise offers both a propane and charcoal grill.
Just off the deck area is a firepit for making smores, roasting hot dogs or just enjoying a crackling fire. Bring your own firewood.
Located in West Jefferson, you will have an abundance of activities to choose from. There are art galleries, canoe and tubing trips, hiking trails, golfing, fishing and skiing all within a short distance of this special hideaway. You’ll definitely want to spend some time in our wonderful towns exploring the unique mountain shops and delicious restaurants. For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.
Pets are welcomed with a non- refundable pet fee.

We will notify you proactively when an early check in is possible and you’ll receive the comforts of a luxury home when you arrive with a starter supply of paper products, hand soaps and lotions. All of our vacation rentals follow local and state tax rules. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, linen cleaning fee, and a processing fee. Somewhat isolated on a narrow dirt road past several other cabins, this is a quiet, peaceful place to spend some time. The major issue is access as while we were there, a house on the way in and out was having trees cut. The equipment completely blocked the single lane road prohibiting access. Fortunately, we found another way around, but it was much longer and much more difficult to navigate.

We couldn't have been more pleased with this cozy cabin. It was clean and well-supplied but everything we needed. The only thing I couldn't find was a vase for our beautiful flowers. The weather was perfect and for whatever season you are there, there was a binder letting you know everything available to see or do. We enjoyed West Jefferson and everybody we came in contact with was so friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

The vacation rental was perfect! It was in a remote location but close enough to West Jefferson for any last minute needs. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed! The fire pit was perfect to sit by in the evenings and listen to the wildlife and river. The furniture was comfortable and the gas fireplace was comfy in the cool evenings. We would definitely stay there again. It is also nice that it’s close to many outdoor sports and hiking locations along with several nice eateries.

We enjoyed our stay at Peaceful Paradise. We came in at night and missed a turn but other than that it was a great stay! Definitely a nice quiet area and the cabin had everything we needed.

Nice quite place to stay

Cabin was located in a secluded area in the woods. Easy to get to, enough room for three adults and a medium size Dog. Close to grocery shopping, site seeing and general shopping. Just one thing that made us and especially our Dog, upset, was the knocking on the front door around 8:00 in the morning by a realtor. One would think that the owner/management company would let them/us know that a realtor would be coming around. 🙁

Lovely little cabin with everything you need for a short or long stay. Lots of deer come to visit and many hummingbirds. We cooked many meals and loved all the separate outdoor areas. Only drawback was the steep and rough driveway.

Extremely clean with all amenities you could need. Great deck and firepit areas. Best part was comfy front porch. Only disappointment was no ri er access. River was within walking distance but all spaces said "no trespassing".

This cabin was immaculate. It was in a great location close to West Jefferson and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We brought food to cook dinner each night and it had all of the cookware that we needed for cooking. We will definitely be back. It was an amazing cabin!!

Location was out of the way making a quiet, perfect vacation. Good layout of the cabin with a small gas fireplace which kept us very comfortable while enjoying Netflix movies.

This was a nice, small cabin that worked well for my husband and me and our two dogs. For the price, we realized we had no view, no hot tub, so, that was a little disappointing, but we had a nice time.

There is a beautiful deck, covered rocking chair front porch and fire pit for enjoying the outdoors. Peaceful Paradise does not offer a hot tub. This cabin sits in the middle of tall green trees...ferns and nature! Beautiful place to relax..spend time alone (or with your 'someone special'). The cabin itself, is a bit small..though it DOES have 2 bedrooms, both beds are double/queen? and they pretty-much consume the entire bedroom....only 1 bathroom, small(cozy) living room and kitchen. The OUTSIDE of the cabin is by far THE REASON to stay here!!
Absolutely Beautiful...nice places to sit (roofed front porch, or open deck on the side) and take it all in. If you love stillness...nature and in need of a little tranquility and solitude, THIS is THE place to stay!
We already know we'll go back!

Peaceful Getaway

We wanted a quick getaway for a change of scenery that was close to hiking opportunities. This little cabin met the requirements. The location was perfect and it truly was peaceful. There is no real view from the cabin, but if you enjoy walking, you can walk alongside the river. It was very close to Mt. Jefferson State Natural Area where we did some hiking and enjoyed the scenery.
