This is an immersive, hands-on sewing and repair intensive based on low-tech, hand=based mending practices rooted in Appalachian and working-class traditions. We will explore cooking directly over open flame, in a stone hearth, on an antique wood stove, and baking in a hand-made cobb oven, all in our outdoor kitchen. Through our intentional cooking we will join together in community to enjoy our evening meal together. A wonderful lunch is also provided.
